形态描述
体长，圆筒形，体高与宽约等，尾柄细长，侧扁。头低平，吻扁薄。口小，弧形。口前具吻沟和吻褶。吻须、口角须各2对。唇具发达乳突，上唇2排，下唇1排。颏部有4个乳突，排成2行。鳃裂扩展到头腹面。鳞细，具棱脊，胸腹部裸露。腹鳍不相连，有2根不分枝鳍条；臀鳍小，无硬刺；尾鳍叉形。
生物学
This homalopterine fish is commonly found in the Zhu-jiang River, the Red River and the Hainan Island. Body elongate and cylindric, barbells 8,2 barbels at each corner of the mouth. Two anterior rays of the pelvic fins are simple. A small fish, it inhabits the rapid current of the mountain streams.
